The clip, which was posted on social media, shows the aftermath of the attack, Yahoo News reported.
The diver can be seen scrambling onto a boat operated by Miami firm Hot Shot Charters with significant amounts of blood visible across the deck.
Shortly before, the diver had been picked up by another smaller boat which happened to be nearby when the attack happened off the Miami coast near the island town of Key Biscayne.
In the clip, the man can be seen bleeding through his wetsuit from injuries on his back and left arm, which was wrapped in a tourniquet and kept elevated.
Despite these wounds, the diver was in good enough condition to give a thumbs-up to the charter boat crewman before speaking to him in Spanish.
The Hot Shot crew ferried the diver to Key Biscayne where he was put in an ambulance and rushed to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
The diver was reportedly on a fishing trip with a group aboard a 23-foot boat in Key Biscayne, the Miami Herald reported.
The video of the incident—which was posted to the Hot Shot Charters Instagram account with the title “Hot Shot saves diver after being attacked by shark”—has been viewed nearly 23,000 views at the time of writing.
“The patient had serious traumatic injuries due to a possible shark bite,” Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson Erika Benitez told WSVN 7 News. “This person was transported by a group of boaters to the [Bill Baggs State Park,] where Miami-Dade Fire Rescue then responded.”

At present, it is unclear what species of shark may have been responsible for the attack.
Florida is the U.S. state where most shark attacks occur, despite the fact that the number of bites dropped last year, NBC 6 reported.

As of August 1, there have been 28 confirmed shark bites in U.S. waters, with 12 of those occurring in the Sunshine State. Just one of these 28 attacks led to the death of the individual involved, according to the website Tracking Sharks.
On Sunday, a 68-year-old Tennessee man was bitten by a shark in the waters off New Smyrna Beach, Florida, in what was the third such incident in the area in just two days, according to officials.
New Smyrna Beach on Florida’s central east coast is considered to be the “shark attack capital of the world,” according to the International Shark Attack File (ISAF.)
Despite the risks posed by sharks, is important to note that bites are extremely rare, and fatal incidents are even rarer. In fact, you are more likely to be killed by by lightning than being bitten by a shark.
