The quarterback is also the Parade Player of the Year.
Grier, who is already enrolled at Florida, headlines the annual Parade team, selected by Brian McLaughlin of SaturdayDownSouth.com.
“Will’s a very mature kid,” said his coach and father, Chad Grier, to Parade. “I know that in Florida, he will outwork everybody. And he’s focused.”
Grier made national headlines in 2012 when he threw for 837 yards in a 104-80 victory in the playoffs.
“It was like a freak accident game,” Grier told Sporting News last year.
In total, 57 players are named to the Parade team — 13 on offense, 13 on defense and 31 honorable mention selections.
“It’s crazy and such an honor to see some of the names from past teams,” Will Grier told Parade. “I’ll look back in 25 years and say, ‘How amazing.’ It’s a cool fraternity to be a part of.”
Grier started getting pats on the back from Gator faithful on Friday.
