Last week, police searched a home on Chickadee Road in the suburb of Holiday and found dozens of marijuana plants. While Ruiz is not believed to have lived at the address, WTSP reported deputies had found some of his personal property inside the residence during a search, including medication and a power bill....
Russell Bannister was arrested after the Ormond Beach Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance at the Brookdale Assisted Living Facility on December 22. Police said Bannister, 47, is alleged to have entered an elderly resident’s room without his consent or knowledge to steal cash and credit cards. While he was inside the room, Bannister’s presence was detected by the resident’s Alexa device, which alerted a family member....
Brian Van Landingham and Frank Branca were at Possum Head Camp, almost an hour west of Fort Lauderdale, when they first spotted the python. “Alligator Ron” Bergeron was filming an educational video nearby when he got the call about the python, according to the Miami Herald. Bergeron made the four-mile journey to capture the python, which was about an inch in diameter. He also removed nearly 50 hatching eggs, which could have turned into even more snakes in the Everglades....
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) authorities say the unnamed man was caught with the weapon on Wednesday at Syracuse’s Hancock International Airport. Few details are available about the man. The man was allegedly carrying a .32 caliber pistol loaded with seven bullets, along with a box containing an additional 41 bullets in his carry-on luggage. The weapon was confiscated by Syracuse police, who later arrested him on weapons charges. On November 6, the man was allegedly caught carrying a loaded gun at another airport located about 60 miles away from the Syracuse airport....
Nicholas James Imhoff, 29, did not enter a plea when he appeared in federal court in Billings, Montana, on Tuesday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, the Associated Press reported. Imhoff was arrested after he was stopped by a Montana Highway Patrol trooper on Interstate 90 near Columbus for driving six miles above the 80 mph speed limit on February 11, The Billings Gazette reported....
Anthony Richardson was stopped by deputies from the local sheriff’s drug task force in the area of S.R. 64 and Pioneer Park in Zolfo Springs last Thursday, according to a media release. Police said they were told a live alligator was in the car’s front seat just prior to a drug search of the vehicle. Richardson claimed he was planning to release the gator into a nearby river. He admitted to not having alligator trapping or hunting licenses—two forms of permits which have to be obtained from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) before the animals can legally be taken from the wild....
